Fine Art Friday

Last Rose of Summer by Mandy Budan
Be still my heart!
Hoping to make this a regular Friday thing on my blog — the featuring of a fantastic fine art find.
This gorgeous piece of wonderfulness by Mandy Budan/BudanArt was on my home page when I opened my computer this morning, and felt the need to share it with the world.
I've been an admirer of Mandy Budan's work for a while. She's one of those artists that fill me with a healthy sense of awe and envy.
Enjoy more of her work in her Etsy shop — it's a lovely way to start the weekend!

****Editors Note: Oh goodness gracious! No, it's not Friday, it's Wednesday — doh! My family and I are going on a (much needed) vacation and it's feeling very Friday to me today. So, enjoy the art and here's to starting the weekend on Wednesday morning!

In a Celebratory Mood

Yesterday morning this glorious vision graced the Front Page of Etsy — yay!
This farm-fresh collection by MyShiningStarDesigns is titled Moving to the Country and perfectly captures that longing to be on the farm.

As a way of sharing my excitement, I'm hosting a Two-Day Sale in my shop! All my Farmhouses and Dreamscapes are 10% off.
Stop by and say hi!

Sweet Treat

Hey — that's a darn cute Nest over Anne's shoulder!

Exciting News! My artwork is gracing the set of Food Network's delicious new show Dessert First with Anne Thornton.

Anne simplifies the most daunting desserts. Together with guest stars like the adorable Nate Berkus, Anne will be making some awesome delights like this Salted Carmel Tart Tartin — be still my heart!

I'm super thrilled about the show — which airs on Sundays at 12:30 pm. Watch and see how many paintings of mine you can spot (there are quite a few.)

On My Way to Spring

Little Blue Skies Farm — weather's sunny and warm in the shop!
Although spring is officially here I feel it's been emotionally unavailable. Except for a few warm-ish days, the weather has been feeling more like late fall then early spring.

I won't let the gray skies dampen my spirits, though; some cobalt blue and a dash of yellow bring me blue skies whenever I want!

Welcome Home!

Thanks for joining me!
I have a lot of exciting news and ideas to share with all of you, and hope that you'll feel free to share as well. I tend to think that the hardest part of writing is the beginning — so, I'll make this brief and just share a recently finished painting that you can find on my Etsy shop (www.thepaintedsky.etsy.com).
